    The word "Kauswagan", which literally means "prosperity” or “progress" is a 5th class municipality
    in the Province of Lanao del Norte in Northern Mindanao, Philippines.
    The Municipality of Kauswagan is famous for its abundance in coastal resources such as fresh fish and shells.

    “Kauswagan envisions to be a leading organic agriculture and energy—agriculture municipality, an advocate of sustainable peace and unity among Muslims and Christians.

    We aim to be an eco-tourism destination with empowered and disciplined constituents with a high sense of patriotism, living in an ecologically balanced environment, headed by God-fearing, strong and determined leadership.“

    "Kauswagan commits for the attainment of a dynamic and more improve economy particularly through increase agricultural production, proper management of existing environment and the promotion of more equitable access to social development opportunities and full utilization of human resources."

LGU at pribadong sektor, nagsanib pwersa upang pangalagaan ang karagatan

KAUSWAGAN, LANAO DEL NORTE (9 Hulyo 2020) -- Nakipag-ugnayan ang LGU sa mga marine experts upang tuluyang mabuo ang mga programa at aktibidad na naglalayong ma protektahan ang karagatan dito. Pinulong ng LGU ang mga marine biologists at scuba divers ng GNPower Kauswagan at Mindanao State University Naawan araw ng Miyerkules upang pag usapan ang mga programa at aktibidad na gagawin upang mapalakas ang edukasyon ng mamamayan ukol sa pag po-protekta ng karagatan. Sa kautusan ni municipal mayor Rommel Arnado, pinapalakas ng municipal environment and natural resources office at municipal tourism office ang mga hakbang upang masigurong patuloy na ma-protektahan ang lamang dagat habang pinapausbong nito ang lokal na turismo. Layunin ng LGU na magkaroon ng mas malalim na kolaborasyon ang gobyerno at pribadong sector upang malinis, maalagaan at pa-usbungin ang karagatan ng munisipyo. Nitong buwan ng Hunyo, inilunsad ng GNPower at LGU ang scubasurero na naglalayong maglilinis sa ilalim ng karagatan at siguraduhing makapag restore ng maayos ang mga coral reefs. Pangako ng dalawang grupo na patuloy nilang gagawin ito at magiging regular na ang paglilinis sa ilalim ng dagat. Kasama ang Philippine Coast Guard, pinapaigting din ang pagbabantay ng Task Force Seaborne sa mahigit 37 ektarya ng protected marine sanctuary. Nilalayon ng grupo na magkaroon ng isang basic education forum on marine life na gagawin nitong buwan ng Hulyo.
